Litigation
Global Elite firm

5-8 PQE
Market leading work and salary

Sydney

Our client is a leading international firm and regarded as one of the leading Disputes firms in the world.

They are currently recruiting two SA’s for their Sydney team after two recent promotions to Partnership.

This is a great opportunity for a Litigator from a top tier Australian firm with 5-8 years PQE to join one of the top firms in the world in their Sydney offices.

If you are sick of being a small cog in a big machine and want to work directly with a partner or as part of a smaller, high performance team on market leading work then this is the role for you.

This firm can offer a point of difference over the traditional Aussie top tier law firms

  • Access to global network - global support and bluechip clients

  • Access to great work - Cross Jurisdictional work

  • Work directly under and with some of the best lawyers in the country in a high performance low leverage model

  • Better leverage models mean more autonomy

  • The opportunity to relocate globally after a couple of years to any office in their network

  • Higher pay rates than any Australian firm, not tied to PQE levels but rather individual performance.

  • During the Covid lockdown this firm has gone ahead with annual payrise’s, not cut anyone’s hours and allowed everyone to work from home as much or as little as they have liked to suit their personal circumstances.

  • Due to the success of both their Corporate and Disputes practices 2020 has been one of their most profitable ever.

The Role

Litigation, class actions and regulatory defence work for clients that are leading global and Australian corporates and financial institutions.

Representing traders, analysts and company officers in ASIC investigations.
Advising a global institution on insider trading and self-reporting.
Defending an Airline in ACCC civil penalty proceedings.
An injunction against an FMCG client’s competitor for misleading conduct.
Advising a PRC consortium in a JV dispute with an Australian miner.
Advising on numerous M&A disputes at completion and post completion.

Candidate Requirements
The successful candidates will come from leading Australian or NZ firms with significant litigation experience.
They will have outstanding academics
Inter-personally you must thrive working in small teams and have a genuine passion for litigation work.

The best recruits to the team over the last few years have been high energy people who thrive on the added responsibility that the firm offers, but are also personable and enjoy working as part of a team.
