About our client

Our client is a multi billion dollar business in the Infrastructure space undergoing once in a generation transformation. They are looking for a a property specialist to join their Strategic Property Team to work on a range of activities to support their Multi Billion dollar, 1300+ Property portfolio.

The Strategic Property team is responsible for the strategy, development, implementation and management of initiatives across the client's significant property portfolio including disposals, acquisitions, leases and developments.

Role

There are three main parts to the role:

  • Assisting with the Conveyancing, leases and licences all agreements to rent or purchase Client properties or to gain access to them for construction of 3rd party building works. This will involve drafting and logging the documentation on each transaction. 50% of the role.

  • Responding to contestable enquiries - i.e. advising on easements and caveats to ensure the integrity of the clients infrastructure. - approx. 30% of the role.

  • Helping to run (as part of a 6 person team) a property enquiries service for property purchases whether in or around client properties. The enquiries come from Property developers who wants to know will there be any new client developments that will effect their planned works. 15% of the role

  • General Assistance to the Head of the Strategic Property team. 5% of the role


The Ideal Candidate
Ideal candidate for this role could be a Property lawyer or a really good Conveyancer or Lease Administrator, who has at least 3-5 years experience and knows Property inside out.

You will have experience in dealing with high volume Property enquiries and managing a large portfolio of Conveyances
You will be able to give basic advice on Easements, Covenants and Development restrictions.
Ideally you will have experience dealing with Senior Stakeholders in both the Legal and Commercial teams as well as external counterparties.

Personality is key - This is a team with a great culture and this role will suit a pro active self starter, who will make an effort to understand the business and key stakeholders commercial and risk drivers so that they can better manage the Property Transactions.
