Two roles in a leading TMT team

Our client is a top tier law firm in Australia, their Sydney office has two opportunities for a highly motivated Senior Associate 6-8 PQE, and an Associate 3-5 PQE to join their first-tier TMT transactions practice.

 

This full-time role is based in the firm's Sydney office, working on complex IT contracting matters, large scale outsourcing, managed services and cloud projects, data licensing and commercialisation agreements and software (and other commercial IP) contracting.

While primarily transactional, you will also undertake advisory work in relation to regulatory frameworks, emerging technologies and artificial intelligence.

 

You will be working closely with two top rated partners, as part of a driven, dynamic team with a rich practice across both private and public sectors and a shared vision of shaping Australia’s future business, industry and consumer landscape through transformative work and revolutionary thinking.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 3-5 years post-qualification experience, or;

  • 6-8 years post-qualification experience;

  • Exceptional technical (especially contract drafting) skills derived from first-tier training;

  • A capacity for superior written and verbal expression and an aptitude for reshaping and expressing complex concepts in a concise and intelligent way; and

  • Creativity, imagination and the capacity for unconventional problem-solving.

Candidates coming from a mixed IP/IT team are welcome but the focus of this team is very much front end TMT work, not IP which is done in a different team in the firm.

Candidates coming from a top tier, mid tier technology practice are preferred, but candidates with great experience of technology contracting from Government or a leading boutique firm could equally excel in this team.
