The role
Our client has an opportunity for a senior commercial lawyer to join our market-leading technology and intellectual property team. The role would ideally be located in their Brisbane CBD office but we open to candidates located in Melbourne or Sydney. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious lawyer who is interested in the Technology space to join one of the best teams in the country
Our client is one of the few law firms of choice for large complex technology transactions and projects for Australian and internationally based clients, in this role you will work closely with our leading technology Partners, on complex technology and outsourcing projects for our Australian and Global client base that includes: government agencies, regulators, major corporates, telcos, television and radio networks, content providers, private equity firms, banks (international and local), sporting bodies, film production companies, online service providers, new media companies, media personalities and their agents, print and digital publishers, and IT software and equipment suppliers and their users.

Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role:
you will have at least 4 years' post admission with extensive experience in drafting and negotiating contracts in a (preferably top tier) firm environment
prior experience with technology contracts is not essential, although ideally you will have an interest in technology trends and the legal and regulatory issues arising from emerging technologies
you will also have a strong academic record of achievement.

An ability to draft clear, commercially orientated, and incisive advice
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building client relationships
