The role
You will undertake a range of exciting and challenging work across a variety of commercial litigation and Disputes matters. Their diversified client base ranges from publically listed companies and top tier insolvency firms, to HNW families.
Our clients point of difference is that as a junior lawyer you will be doing real legal work, as a key member of the team, not sitting in a corner photocopying or putting together trial bundles, but real court work. You can expect to advise the clients, brief and instruct Counsel and have detailed involvement in a wide range of commercial litigation and insolvency matters, including complex commercial litigation, building and construction disputes (including SoPA matters) shareholder and franchise disputes, debt recoveries, voidable transaction disputes and other insolvency matters, whilst also running matters in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
What we are looking for
1-4 PQE in Commercial Litigation and Insolvency
Demonstrable team work and collaboration skills
Commercial nous and confidence in building solid relationships with clients
Excellent technical analytical communication and research skills
Strong attention to detail (including preparation of evidence, court documents and advice to clients).
Experience with the Civil procedure rules especially in Federal and NSW Courts, rules of evidence,
Building and Construction Industry SoPA knowledge will be highly valued
Ability to brief, instruct and generally interact with Counsel
