Health & Aged Care Lawyer Associate - SA
A great opportunity currently exists for an Associate or Senior Associate, to join our top tier clients Band 1 rated Health and Aged Care industry group, specialising predominantly in the sector.
Working closely with the Head of the national Health & Aged Care Practice and a well-respected expert in the health, aged care and disability sectors.
You will be involved in a variety of work, initially focused on assisting the firm's clients in both the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety and the Royal Commission into Violence Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability. In addition, the practice includes provision of regulatory and policy advice, transactional and structuring advice (in conjunction with our corporate and financial services lawyers), reviewing and drafting aged care agreements, management of incidents and complaints involving regulators, risk management, policy drafting, accreditation processes and reviews, privacy and access to records and substituted decision making.
Our clients are broad and range from not-for-profit and charitable organisations, to insurers and public and private operators.
More about you
We welcome applications from senior lawyers with:
Experience in health, aged care, disability (or adjacent social services sectors);
Strong background in statutory interpretation and administrative law;
Strong technical and drafting skills and the ability to deliver quality, commercial and pragmatic advice that takes account of the policy and regulatory settings;
Litigation and advocacy experience;
A strong client focus and demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with peers, clients and industry stakeholders;
Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment across a range of lines of business (and offices);
Willingness to contribute to business development and thought leadership initiatives including presentations, client training and publications;
As part of a national team this role is very flexible in location and can be located in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Perth
