The Role
Our clients have a top rated Disputes practice nationally. Their Sydney team is seeking a to hire for two roles at the 3-5 PQE and the Senior Associate 5-10 pqe level. This team manages some of the very largest Disputes matters nationally, and also works as part of global defence teams on some of the biggest Disputes and international Arbitration matters globally.

Under the leadership of Partners considered absolute leaders in their field, you will have the opportunity to deepen your litigation and disputes experience on some of the country's largest class actions and product liability cases.
Working for leading clients, and as part of international defence teams, you will gain insights and experience working on the Australian arm of truly significant global matters.
In this high performing and collaborative team, this role will also see you act on product regulatory issues and advice for clients in multiple sectors including life sciences, consumer goods, automotive and financial products.
The work includes a range of litigious and other contentious commercial matters including large scale class actions defence and advisory work for life sciences and consumer clients.
As an Associate this role will see you drafting correspondence, preparing advice, day to day management of files, liaising with clients and counsel and assisting with the preparation of final and interlocutory proceedings including evidence
As an SA in this team, your role will see you managing litigation matters with responsibility for specific workstreams in large matters and day-to-day carriage of smaller matters. This includes the full range of work with clients and counsel and often as part of global defence teams.

Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
As an Associate you will have between 3-5 PQE as a lawyer in a leading commercial litigation practice;
Exposure to class actions or large-scale commercial litigation matters;
Familiarity with Supreme/Federal Court litigation
As an SA , you will have at least 5 years' experience as a lawyer in a leading commercial litigation practice;
Exposure to class actions or large-scale commercial litigation matters;
Familiarity with Supreme/Federal Court litigation;
Strong academic results;
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; and
A collaborative and pro-active approach.
