Our client is a well established specialist E&P and Government law firm who are looking to add a Property offering to their clients.

My client has many local council panel arrangements, and also a strong private client - mainly developer, clientele. The ideal candidate will have a strong record working with one, or both types of client and an interest in building a Property practice supporting both government and private clients.

The ideal candidate could be either;

An SA or SC with a small practice (Circa $300k+) from a larger firm, looking for a quicker path to Partnership and a better platform to build a practice. Or,

An established Partner looking for a better platform, or more autonomy to run your practice away from too much bureaucracy or bad firm politics.

Firm Facts

* Current Partner mix 50:50 male : female, all ex top tier or large mid tier firms so the quality of the work is very good

* Size of firm 12 lawyers, growth plans to get that to 30 in the next 24 months through adding Property, Commercial and Construction law offerings

* Really good CEO who has 30+ years in Exec leadership in Local Government, and who is charged with growing the Government client base, and bringing on board new talent. Within 12 months he has added 8 new NSW Council panel arrangements and onboarded two Partners.

* Flexi working, most lawyers work 2 days from home per week.

* Only 5 billable hour target for all lawyers from Grad to Partner.

* 50% bonus for all work billed above 5 hours p.d.

*Salaried Partnership available to those with a $300k + practice

* Equity Partnership available for practices >$600k including profit share

* Open to individual, and team moves.
