Multi $Bn business in Critical Infrastructure

CBD location with WFH and Flex arrangements

Our client is a large, complex and heavily regulated business in one of the 8 critical infrastructure categories. They are going through major positive changes to their business, and technology enabled changes to their delivery model.

This role is responsible for enhancing, monitoring, and reporting on the Organisation’s Risk and Business Continuity Management frameworks as well as supporting assurance activities alignment and good corporate governance.

The role has two focuses, to lead the Business Resilience function and to support the Risk function.

The Role:

• Support the operationalisation of the risk appetite statement and risk management framework across the organisation.

• Manage data, undertake required risk assessments and analysis, and prepare insightful Executive and Board reports as required.

• Facilitate the enhancement and ongoing management of the organisation’s business continuity and crisis management program, including supporting the Executive level crisis management simulations.

• Embed risk and business continuity management activities within the Business Groups, including development of guidance and training materials, and delivery to Executive and staff.

• Facilitate assessments, review and identify process improvement opportunities across the organisation, including greater alignment and integration of management systems.

• Manage the coordination and modification of documents related to risk, business continuity and other governance activities as required.

• Liaise and provide appropriate communication to positively influence senior management, internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Tertiary qualifications within relevant field and more than 5 years industry experience.

• Sound knowledge of and experience with managing, policy, risk, crisis management and business continuity activities.

• Knowledge and experience of relevant ISO standards and guidelines.

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

• Highly evident communication skills both written and oral to a senior executive and Board level.

• Intermediate computer literacy in Microsoft Office and systems.

• Demonstrated experience in organizational-wide project coordination and evaluation.

• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise and deliver outcomes in a timely manner against key results areas.

• Proven ability to communicate with influence.

Elective:

• Possibly working towards an associate membership with the Business Continuity or Risk Management Institute of Australasia.

Remuneration

This will be based on the successful candidates experience, but approx. $155-182k (base including super), plus a discretionary bonus of up to 10%.
