Our Client is a top tier Australian law firm top rated for both Public Sector and Corporate work
Their Public Sector (Corporate) team advises a wide range of government agencies on some of their most complex and sensitive programs, from project inception through to transition and contract management. They use their skills to solve complex legal problems, assist with the development and implementation of program strategy, and inform policy development.
They have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Lawyer to join our Public Sector (Corporate) team located in Canberra working with a Partner rated in Chambers and Best Lawyers as an expert in both Government and Telco work.
They are looking for a positive and enthusiastic team player who is keen to work in a busy top tier practice with a diverse range of clients, including government agencies and private sector entities.
This varied role will see you have the opportunity to assist on a broad range of high profile, complex and sensitive ICT and services outsourcing projects. You will be advising on a wide range of legal transactions, including commercial, contracting, procurement, corporate and probity matters.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
2-4 years’ PQE experience
Strong commercial drafting skills
An ability to prioritise your time across a number of busy matters
A strong client service focus and work ethic
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
A passion for innovative solutions and problem solving
A desire to work as part of a collegiate, close-knit team
Exposure to procurement with Commonwealth Government (desirable but not essential)
The team is known for its flexibility and adopting agile working methods.
Its a really supportive team with three experienced SA’s as well as the Partner who can help to mentor and develop lawyers with a passion for Outsourcing, Commercial contracting, procurement and probity work.
