Our client is a large, complex and heavily regulated business, in one of the 8 critical infrastructure categories. They are going through major positive changes to their business, and technology enabled changes to their delivery model.
This is a growth role within their core Compliance team with a focus on helping to manage compliance activities across the organisation. This includes identifying compliance gaps and undertaking remedial improvements. You will be part of an experienced Compliance team, well regarded across the whole business and supported by senior colleagues.
This role is focused on;
Working to Improve the Compliance, Risk and Audit Systems, Improving dashboards, developing new strategies & reports, managing controls, improving automation
Improving Policy Administration, Document current processes, improve use of Sharepoint, identify opportunities for automation of processes and develop reports
Improving Records Management, Develop a requirement paper for records policy, support monitoring and developing naming conventions.
Reviewing and Updating Delegation in SAP, Analysis of delegation levels against projects and procurement spend and projections
Monitoring and Updating the Intranet and internal Communications, Covering Compliance, delegations, policies & procedures, GRC Systems, Records Mgnt, ring fencing , Fraud Prevention & Privacy
What I may be expected to do on a day to day basis :
• Provides management of the compliance function through analysis and reporting, audit action management and liaising with stakeholders.
• Manage actions within governance and compliance frameworks including analysing risks and ensuring mitigation plans and actions are addressed.
• Engage and collaborate with stakeholders to review and enhance policies, procedures, standards and work instructions to ensure compliance.
• Track and report on audit actions as required.
• Drive operational and organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage interactions independently with internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and interpret a range of reports.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be directed by your Manager, in line with the Work Level Standards for this role.
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Law, Accounting, IT, Engineering or other relevant discipline.
• Proficient computer literacy in Microsoft Office and systems.
• Proven experience managing audit interactions, analysing risk and monitoring compliance.
• Extensive experience in driving process improvement and ensuring compliance to governance frameworks.
• Strong organisation and time management skills.
• Proven interpersonal skills and experience in dealing with a variety of stakeholder groups.
• Proven experience in facilitating workshops with internal and external stakeholders resulting in an outcome.
• Recognised analytical and problem solving skills.
• Highly evident communication skills both written and oral.
Non Essential:
• Experience in maintaining a records repository.
