Our client is a national law firm who have a rapidly expanding Sydney office, going from 2 to 80+ lawyers in Sydney CBD in the last 2 years.
They have vast experience in complex and high volume conveyancing work, in particular for documents lodged electronically through PEXA.
They have advised clients on the acquisition and disposal of large and high value commercial and retail properties with multiple tenancies both within and outside of the CBD.
As part of their ongoing growth their Property team is looking for an experienced licenced Conveyancer (3-5 years +) to join their team.
Duties will include:
Reviewing sales contracts for purchasers for standard acquisitions and identifying when legal advice is needed.
Collating sales contracts for vendors based on a pre-set of additional conditions and manage negotiations, identifying when legal input is required.
Preparing and process Revenue NSW duty applications via EDR and eDuties (where necessary).
PEXA experienced and ability to manage without supervision, standard sales and acquisitions from exchange to completion.
Knowledge of the NSW LPI Registry procedures. Registrations of dealings including leases, transfers, covenants, surrender of lease, mortgages (etc).
Organising execution of documents via DocuSign. For instance, once a lease is resolved, conveyancer to organise execution of the document and then registration.
Verifying identities through InfoTrack where necessary.
Admin tasks. Opening files (incl conflict checks), closing files and procuring invoices to be issued and payment of legal fees.
Whilst they are looking for a full time Conveyancer, they will also consider 4 days a week and also some partial WFH arrangements.
